Description
BETNOVATE C Cream is commonly used to treat a variety of skin conditions that involve both inflammation and fungal infection, such as:
- Fungal Infections: Used to treat skin infections caused by fungi, including ringworm, athlete’s foot, and Candidiasis.
- Eczema & Dermatitis: It can be used to treat eczema or dermatitis that has developed a secondary fungal infection.
- Inflammation with Fungal Infection: Effective for conditions that involve inflammation (e.g., redness, swelling, and itching) along with a fungal infection.
- Fungal Infections with Itchy Skin: Relieves symptoms like itching and redness caused by fungal infections on the skin.
Dosage & Administration:
- How to Apply:
- Apply a thin layer of BETNOVATE C Cream to the affected area 1-2 times a day, as directed by your healthcare provider.
- Gently massage the cream into the skin, ensuring that the entire affected area is covered.
- Duration of Use: Treatment should typically last no more than 2 weeks unless directed otherwise by your doctor, as prolonged use of corticosteroids like Betamethasone can cause side effects such as skin thinning.
- Avoid Prolonged Use: Use the cream for the recommended period, and avoid using it for longer than advised to prevent possible side effects.
Precautions:
- Avoid Use on Broken Skin: Do not apply BETNOVATE C Cream to open wounds, broken skin, or large areas of damaged skin unless specifically directed by a healthcare provider.
- Pregnancy & Breastfeeding: Consult a doctor before using this cream during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Steroids may pass into breast milk, and while Clotrimazole is considered relatively safe, it should still be used with caution.
- Children: BETNOVATE C Cream should be used cautiously in children, especially on large areas of the body, as they are more susceptible to the effects of corticosteroids. Prolonged use should be avoided.
- Eye Safety: Avoid applying this cream near the eyes. If it accidentally comes into contact with the eyes, rinse immediately with water.
- Skin Sensitivity: If you experience excessive irritation, redness, or a burning sensation at the application site, discontinue use and consult a doctor.
